Long story short, two years ago I decided one week that I finally wanted to get myself the Silvia chassis I have always wanted. Not long after looking online I spotted a particular example, which was owned by a friend of a friend. Some praying to the money gods and with some thought, I went for it.
Within a week, I was the proud owner of a NZ NEW 1997 Nissan 200sx.
The car already had coilover suspension, adjustable arms, front mount intercooler, pod filter, the first half of the exhaust done and wheels. Body wise the car was stock apart from rolled and slightly pulled guards to squeeze the wheels in.
Since then the car has had some changes. First off receiving a Blox Velocity stack and pod filter. Followed by the rest of the exhaust getting made up by the crew at Pitstop Greenlane in Auckland. I also swapped out the factory radiator for a full aluminium replacement. The next step was all about getting it to look right, the car has been at GTRefinishers one a few occasions where its had a number slight tweaks but I’m finally pretty happy with it as it now stands.
